Poem Remix
The remix caused me to really focus on the poem.
I took my time and really thought about the poems meaning.
I helped me gain an understand of the author and what he was trying to express.
Even though it doesnt straight out say what it means I feel like i understand the tone and theme well.

Book REmix
Basho
"Summer grasses
all that remains
of a soldiers visions."
Basho is the speaker
haiku
theme is hard to say i believe its about the serenity a fatality wounded soldier might experience when he is close to death and is in shell shock
grammar is simple but that maybe because of the translate
image of a soldier dying calmly even if surrounded by a battle
important word remains this word causes me to believe the soldier is dying
tone calm and surreal
lit device is his diction and choice of words
Prosody it doesn't rhyme

Remix Notes
HipHop first media to real use remix
3 key elements
1. copy- directly doing the sma thing
2. Tranformation- changing things that already exist to make something new
3. combination- add old things together to make something new
old+old=NEW!
Everything old is new again
everything is just a remix of something else

Lit Analysis
Death of A Salesman
1. The Lomans live in Brooklyn. Willy is a salesman. He has two sons, Happy and Biff, and is married to Linda. While away on one of his business trips he meets with his mistress. Ben, Willy's successful brother, make Willy feel bad. Willy's family needs $20,000 and instead of asking for it he commits suicide for the insurance money. Nobody goes to is funeral.
2. Theme: pursuit of success. Willy is based on the middle class working man trying to make his way in the world.
3.Tone is dark and angry. Willy wants to be successful and loved and respected by people but ends up being none of those things.
4. It's play and is set up by character speech, uses flashbacks to add in understanding Willy. The story is in real time, and we find Willy spacing out often, having fallen deeply into a past memory. Arthur Miller also uses symbolism to develop the character. Willy’s wants a garden representing hard work, and how Willie cant save his family. The Title foreshadows events in the play.
