Philosophy

Plato's philosophy suggests that everything is just a shadow of the perfect ideal form. We remember things for past lives. In order to discover and learn is to leave our comfort zone. Sartre's characters in No Exit act similarly to the prisoners in The Allegory of the Cave. Sartre's characters are forced to accept the others words cause the didn’t know otherwise. The prisoners in The Allegory of the Cave also were forced to believe what they saw. When the released prisoner returns he is enlighten of true reality. He is treated like an outcast and then killed. This is an example of humans narrow mindedness and a need to people to leave their comfort zone..

  2. I liked your conclusion of Platos idea that everyone is a shadow of their ideal form, it made me think into depth of the shacles and the cave.
